<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Waldemar on Thursday, December 18, 2014.<br /><br /> He was predeceased by his parents; ten sisters and one brother. <br /><br />Waldemar is survived by his wife, Helen; his four children, Linda, David (Ellen), Susan and Tim; three grandchildren, Emily, Eric and Daniel; and his brother Leo in Germany. <br /><br /> Waldemar Kupp was born February 22, 1926 in Wiesenthal, Ukraine to August and Martha. He accepted Christ as saviour in his youth. <br /><br /> In 1945 he and his family fled to Germany, and from there in 1950, he and his sister emigrated to Drake, SK and then to Regina. <br /><br />Since he had been trained in tile setting in Germany, he took up the brick laying trade in Regina. <br /><br />Waldemar was baptised on confession of his faith by Reverend Edward Link at Victoria Avenue Baptist Church in Regina. In 1953, he married Helen Bonikowsky. Faith Baptist Church was begun in 1954 and Waldemar became a charter member. That same year, the church building and homes around it were built, including the Kupp home right behind the church where their four children were born. <br /><br />Waldemar continued in the masonry trade until his retirement in 1982. Having acquired an apartment block in the meantime, he maintained it until complete retirement in 1995. <br /><br /> A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a VISITATION being held one hour prior to service. <br /><br /> Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. <br /><br /> Donations in memory of Waldemar may be made to World Vision Canada, P.O. Box 2500, Mississauga, ON L5M 2H2 or Gideons, P.O. Box 3619 Stn. Main, Guelph, ON N1H 9Z9. <br /><br /> Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
