<div itemprop="description">Ronald Laverne Hutchinson passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Regina. <br><br>He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years Marion (White); his parents Archie and Eva (Lounsbury) Hutchinson; his brother Elmer Hutchinson (Ethel); and his sister Ethel Middleton (Harold). <br><br>Ron is survived by his loving daughters Fay Hutchinson (Lorne Brown) and Ruth Snider (Mike Derkatch); grandson Chris Hutchinson (Shelly); three great-grandchildren Jett, Blake and Brea; brother-in-law Ken Bratt; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their extended families. <br><br>Ron was born at the family home just south of Milestone, SK on November 18, 1924. At the age of nine Ron’s parents moved to a farm west of Gray, SK where he was an active member in the community often singing in the church choir and playing saxophone and violin at school dances. <br><br>Ron met his wife at a hockey game and they married on December 1, 1951. They lived on the farm at Gray, then moved to Regina. <br><br>A hardworking family man, Ron held a full-time job in the glass trade and became a ‘weekend farmer’ near Rouleau, SK. Ron had many achievements in life including his long-lasting marriage, his family, and cat Buddy, all of which he was very proud. Ron will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed. <br><br>A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. A VISITIATION will be held one hour prior to the service for family. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron may be made to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143 Regina, SK S4P 3G7 or to a charity of your choice. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
