<div itemprop="description">We are saddened to announce that Peter passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017. <br><br>Peter will be forever missed and cherished by his loving wife Florence of 54 years; daughter Peggy (George) Henderson; brother David (Cheryle) Gien; sisters-in-law Eugenia Geni and Lena Gieni; as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. <br><br>Peter was predeceased by his infant son Warren Peter; his parents Peter and Molly Gieni; brothers Rudolph (Mary) Gieni, Lewis Geni, George (Kaye) Gieni, Jack Gieni and Eddie (Clarice) Gieni; sisters Minnie (Walter) Mooney, Amelia (Al) St’Onge, Anne (Ernie) Mathewson and Madalene (Fred) Chinski. <br><br>Peter will be fondly remembered for his many jokes and his incredible ability to lighten up any room and his unforgettable laughter. Leave it to Peter to turn any regular day into a fun and memorable story to reminisce and laugh about in the years that followed. Peter’s calm demeanor and his ability to handle any situation was admirable. <br><br>He was a humble and respected man whose word was HIS WORD and those that knew him gravitated to his larger than life personality. <br><br>Peter was born on the homestead farm of his parents at Kayville, SK. Peter was a grain buyer for 36 years having bought grain at Ormiston, Crane Valley, Sintaluta, Montmartre and Leross. He retired from Cargill Grain in 1997 and moved to Regina. Peter loved his job, meeting new farmers and connecting with them on a daily basis. <br><br>A CELEBRATION OF PETER’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. <br><br>In keeping with Peter’s easy going personality, please dress casual, including your Rider gear or Cargill green and join us as we tell stories and reminisce on our great memories. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation may do so to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231 8th St. E, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
