Paul Bergmuller of Regina SK passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the age of 86.

He was born on August 19, 1930 in Hahndorf, Germany. Dad was the oldest of several children - however, he was his father's only child. Dad had many stepbrothers and sisters, but his favourite was Maria Becker, whose late husband was Dad's childhood friend, Wolfgang Becker.

Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, and we are all quite certain he is extremely happy to be reunited with the love of his life, our mother Lory Bergmuller.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing his oldest daughter Mona (Larry) Stelter and their 5 children Shannon, Melany, Heather, Karyn, and Allison and their children, as well as his son Doug Bergmuller and his 4 children Brandon, Terra, Jessi, and Curtis and their children; as well as his youngest daughter Donna (Arnold) Janzen and her children Leah, Ryan and Chelsi.

Dad came to Canada alone on a ship in 1948, at the tender age of 18. He left wartime Germany behind and sought a new life and opportunity here. He came with nothing and could not even speak English, but quickly obtained farm jobs while making his way to Saskatoon, where he became a painter.

He met our beautiful mother at a dance, and before too long, they fell in love. The two of them never looked back, and were married in 1951. From nothing, Dad and Mom then created a family of 35!

Dad was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman most of his life. He loved all animals, big or small.

If any wish to honor our father's memory, a donation to the Regina Humane Society, P. O. Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7 is much appreciated.

We invite everyone to join us for a FUNERAL MASS MEMORIAL at Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a lunch and a celebration of his life immediately to follow.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
