Michael Rabbetz was born on September 11, 1923 and with great sadness, our beloved Dad and Grandpa passed away peacefully on Friday June 2, 2017, at the Pasqua Hospital. He left us to be reunited with his soulmate, June, after 29 years apart.

Mike was predeceased by his son-in-law Brian Turner in 2006.

He is survived by their daughters: Sherry Turner and Debbie Seiferling (Brian); grandchildren: Kimberly (Robin), Brad (Sky), Lindsey (Darcy), Adam, Amy (Linden), Meagan (Austin) and Landon; as well as great granddaughters: Hudson, Caprice and Ava. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, Ronald Jackson (Joan) and their extended family.

"Mikey" proudly built his own house, raised his family, and remained at his home until his final days.

He had a successful career with the Canadian Pacific Railway, where he started shovelling coal and then retired as an engineer in 1983.

He had a passion for building and renovating, and he was always creating a new project until his health declined. We will cherish so many memories of family gatherings, his eccentric stories of the past, family walks in the country and popping over for visits to reminisce.

Our families are very grateful to the staff at the Pasqua Emergency and Pasqua Palliative Wing for their utmost respect of our wishes during his brief time there. We close this chapter by always remembering Mike's smile and "thumbs up" whenever things are good and happy, until we meet again.

At Michael's request, no funeral will be held.

Donations can be forwarded to Pasqua Palliative Care, and we gratefully decline any flowers.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
