<div itemprop="description">Melvin was born in Chaplin on January 8, 1929 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017. <br><br>He was predeceased by his wife May; parents Olga and John Bale; sister Doreen; brother Ronald; brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s Floyd, and Annie, Louis, and Martha; and his grandson Rob. <br><br>Melvin is survived by his sister-in-law Lila; brother-in-law Doug Hunter; his children Beverley (Glen), Darlene (Raymond), Dwight (Carolyn) and Brian; grandchildren Pat (Angie), Shawna (Ryan), Corwin, Nicki, Mike and Kelly; great-grandchildren Alexa, Taylor, Brooklyn, Rylan and Amy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>He enjoyed camping and looked forward to his yearly fishing trips to La Ronge. <br><br>Melvin coached little league baseball, hockey and enjoyed working in his garage and creating what he considered works of art. He can now join his wife May, the person he has missed the most. <br><br>We would also like to thank the Cupar Nursing Home staff for the care and companionship he was given since September, 2015. <br><br>A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at Regina Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
