Jerry passed away so peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Monday, January 3, 2017.

He was predeceased by parents Adam and Kathleen (nee Mastel); brother William (Audrey); sister Irene (George) Lebell; brothers-in-law Gary Woodward and Dale Anderson; and nephew Gary Lebell.

Jerry is survived by his wife Beryl of almost 59 years; daughter Christine (Gary), Regan and Cameron Hinchcliffe; son Kevin (Donna) Nicholas, Madeleine; daughter Karen Davidson, Steven, Michael; sisters-in-law Joan Woodward (Bud) and Donna Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry’s sister Irene (George) and family, Ricky, Randy, Gary, Rory, Russel and Rhonda lived just down the street and the two families were very close and made for such memorable times.

Jerry lived his whole life in Regina and so loved this country but did enjoy his winters in Arizona and do what all snowbirds do --- golf! In the summers though he did enjoy the beach life at Pasqua Lake. It was a most favourite place for him. His youth was spent at St. Joseph School and then onto Central Collegiate. He didn’t care for school that much so was glad to finish Grade XII and then worked for a couple of years for the Royal Bank until Adam called him home as he needed more help in the family business, Cindercrete Products.

Jerry worked for the next 55-60 years building a thriving business with his dad and brother Bill. Kevin would join in later years to work alongside his dad and take over the business. He actively participated in service clubs becoming President of Queen City Kiwanis Club then a member and President of Rotary Club of Regina. Jerry’s passion however was the Regina Boys Hockey League (RBHL) and served as President for many, many years. Jerry was a long time member of Wascana C.C. and loved the games with his buddies, Ernie, Bill A., Bill B., Gord, Ted and Nick.

The Tell family wants to thank Riverbend Memory Care for the exceptional care that Jerry received. He loved those girls in their “green shirts”. We cannot name them all but believe it when we say it was such a good home for our Jer.

A CELEBRATION OF JERRY’S LIFE will be held at a later date.

Flowers gratefully declined and those wishing to may make a donation to Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Inc., 301-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
