It is with great sadness the family of Harry Yalowega announces his passing on November 5, 2015.

Harry will be lovingly remembered by his four devoted children Judy Larson, Janet (Leonard) Goldman, Glenn Yalowega (Donna King) and Gary (Debby) Yalowega. Dad was the proud grandfather of Allison Goldman, Robert Goldman, Shay (Layne) Schwartz, Keith Yalowega and Ashley Yalowega (fiancé Nathan Silljer). Dad lived to see the birth of his first great grandchild, Rayna Schwartz born in July 2015.

Harry is survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Tillie Janotta (Regina), Ethel and Les Shubrook (Surrey, BC), Irene and Don Stewart (Medicine Hat, AB) and June and Orest Tkachyk (Medicine Hat, AB); as well as several nephews and nieces especially Donald Tokaryk and Leslie Miller.

Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife of 72 years, Bertha on November 6, 2014 whom he greatly missed over the past year. Harry was also predeceased by his parents William and Effie Yalowega and his sister Mary and brother-in-law William Tokaryk and his son-in-law John Larson; also Bertha's parents Julius and Bertha Karikas, her brothers and their wives Julius and Verna Karikas, Peter and Ann Karikas and Alex Karikas and brother-in-law Harold Janotta and nephew Raymond Janotta.

Harry was born near Sifton, Manitoba on February 17, 1920. He moved to Regina with his parents and sister when he was six years old.

Harry formed City Window Cleaning Company with his father-in-law Julius Karikas in 1947 and continued to work for the next 42 years until his retirement in 1989.

Harry was an avid sports fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Dad also looked forward every year to watching the Triple Crown of thoroughbred horse racing. Dad also enjoyed listening to classical music with Strauss waltzes being some of his favourites.

Dad was blessed with good health for almost his entire life of 95 years. We thank Dad for his love, his patience and understanding, his sense of humour and his devotion to our family.

Dad had a strong work ethic and he was always someone who could be counted on and he was the anchor for our family. Dad lived a long and full life and we celebrate his life with love and fond and lasting memories. We were blessed to have such good and loving parents for as long as we did.

Harry and Bertha resided at Wintergreene Estates for the past six years and we thank their caring staff for their attention. Our family would also like to thank all the staff at Grace Hospice for their kind, supportive and compassionate care of Dad in the last days of his life.

A FUNERAL SERVICE TO CELEBRATE HARRY'S LONG AND FULL LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm.

May Dad rest in peace with his beloved wife and our dear mother.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
