<div itemprop="description">George passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the age of 93 years. <br><br>He was predeceased by the love of his life Pat, in 2014. <br><br>George is survived by his children Dennis Orton, Ken (Annie) Orton and Sharon (Keith) Grill; grandchildren Robert (Danielle) Orton, Ken Orton, Chris (Gloria) Orton, Rob (Kristine) Orton, Trevor (Tara) Grill, Shayla (Matt) Leier and Justin (Alex) Grill. <br><br>George was a decorated World War II veteran with many awards and commendations. He also continued to serve his community through countless years of volunteer work throughout his life. He was honoured with a Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation Award and a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his years of volunteer service and his contributions to his community. <br><br>He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #001 and a founding member of the 600 (Regina) Wing Royal Canadian Air Force Association. George will continue to be an inspiration to all and he will forever be remembered. <br><br>The family would like to thank William Albert House for all their love and care. <br><br>A CELEBRATION OF GEORGE’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, #200 – 4545 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 6W8 or the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 106-438 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, SK S4N 0N7. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
