<div itemprop="description">Ellen Paine Davis, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6th, 2016 at the William Booth Special Care Home in Regina, SK, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. <br> <br>Ellen Paine Davis was born on July 24, 1922, and was predeceased by her loving husband, George (Reil) Davis; her parents, Austin Woodward and Nellie Davidson; her brothers Freeman Davidson and Bus Davidson; and her sisters, Florence Dupperon and May Walker. <br> <br>She leaves to mourn her passing, her four children, Arlene McKenzie, Verna (Brian) Janz, Shirley (Lorne) O’Fee and Robert Bruce Davis; her grandchildren Tami (Ed) Sargees, Brian (Darla) Janz Jr., Krissy McKenzie, Janine (Kelly Ljunggren) McKenzie, David O’Fee, Denita (Shelby) Davis, Scott (Marie) Davis, Carey Davis, Johnathan Davis and Bobby Lawrence; her great grandchildren, Libbi (Andy) Roed, Jobe (Kaille) Sargees, Darby Janz, Nikita Janz, Sara Verch, Braiden Verch, Bailey Pio, Kyan McKenzie Ljunggren, Sayer Davis Ljunggren; and her great-great granddaughter, Sativa Rain Sargees. <br> <br>Ellen was born in Regina, was educated in Regina and spent her early adult years as a homemaker. She later was employed by Sears holding many positions, and was working as a supervisor at the time of her retirement. <br> <br>Mom was a kind, humble, loving accepting soul who had great love for her family and friends. She loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet, knit and garden. In later years she enjoyed daytime TV and her game shows. She loved spending time with her children, the grands and the greats and she recently met and held her newest great-great granddaughter, Sativa. <br> <br>In later years Ellen loved to travel with her traveling companion Robert McKenzie Sr. and they visited many parts of the world. <br> <br>A private interment service took place at the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK, on Thursday, November 10, 2016 officiated by Salvation Army Chaplain, Major Sharon McDonough. <br> <br>Those wishing to make memorial tributes in Ellen’s memory may do so to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6. <br> <br>The family of Ellen Davis would like to thank the nurses, care assistants, Major Sharon McDonough, and administration staff of Regina Wascana Grace Hospice/ William Booth Special Care Home for their loving care and concern for our precious mother over these last few months.
