<div itemprop="description">Doreen was born July 26, 1930 in Moose Jaw and passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Parkside Extendicare. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Kress; daughter Brenda Bolen; parents George (Pearce) and Thurza Newlove; brothers Fred, John, George, Charlie; sisters Phyllis and Nellie; and many brothers and sisters-in-law. <br> <br>Doreen is survived by her three children Irene (Garvin) Katchuk, Ken (Joy) Kress of Regina and son Fred Kress of Regina; son-in-law Dale Bolen; grandchildren Pam (Kevin) Deck, Colin (Jenn) Katchuk, Twila (Rob) Pambrun, Devin (Marci) Kress, Jenna Kress (Gideon Belete), Laura O’Shea and Derek Bolen; great grandchildren Cayden and Kiera O’Shea, Kloe and Ally Katchuk, Emerson, Quenton and Kayden Pambrun, and Jake and Kate Kress; sister Joyce Rogowski; sisters-in-law Mag Boire, Phyllis Baseden and Francis (George) Heck; brothers-in-law George (Lauretta) Kress and John (Sonia) Kress; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Doreen was a kind and gentle soul and was warm and welcoming to family and friends. She worked for many years at Regina Pioneer Village Nursing Home and made many friends who she continued to meet for lunches and coffee up to the last few months when she became ill. <br> <br>Doreen and her husband Dan met at Craik, SK and were married on October 6, 1949 in Moose Jaw. They moved to the family farm in Kendal and then to Regina where they had four children. In 1967 they moved to Earl Grey where they purchased the hotel and then back to Regina in 1972 where they lived until Doreen’s retirement and they moved back to Earl Grey. Doreen moved back to Regina in 2002 when Dan was ill and lived here until her passing. <br> <br>A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7. <br> <br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
