<div itemprop="description">On Monday, January 2, 2017, our mom began the journey to walk with her Heavenly Father. <br><br>She was predeceased by her loving husband George; parents Mary Melynchuk, Metro Lys; step father Bill Melynchuk; sister Angeline (Mike) Petlock and family; brother Peter Lees; nephew Darrell Lees; sisters Stella (Peter) Heska, Emily Maitland, Edith (Max) Halyk. <br><br>Anne is survived by her children Dwayne (Denise), Barbara (Bo), Debbie, Joan (Paul), and James (Linda); grandchildren Brooke, Bonnie (Richard), Kristian (Lindsay), Nicholas (Christine), Curtis (Ashley), Pamela (Kirk), Dallas, Byron, Justin (Kara), Jordin (Dakota), Cayley and Darwin (Jen); great grandchildren Alexys, Ryker, Tulah, Easton, Kitt, Ryan and Dylan; brother Lorne (Corinne) Lys; sister Christine Lys; sister-in-law Marlene Lees; brothers-in-law Malcolm Maitland and Dan Gafencu; and her dog Maggie. <br><br>Anne was raised in Beaverdale District and moved to the Gafencu family farm in 1957 upon marrying George. Here she raised their four children and George’s brother James. Anne moved to Regina in the fall of 2002 after the loss of George to be close to her children and grandchildren. <br><br>Mom was a lady of many talents from raising her children, being a part of the community of Kayville and a farmer. Everything from sewing, baking, a wonderful cook, gardener, but most of all the most wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a heart of gold and was respected by all that touched her heart. <br><br>A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. <br><br>A special thank you to the nursing staff and doctors of 4A at the Pasqua Hospital. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anne to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Avenue Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9, Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or Kidney Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Branch, Suite 1, 2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
