<div itemprop="description">Andrew passed peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the age of 96 years in the Veteran&rsquo;s wing of the Regina Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. <br /><br />He was born on January 25, 1919. Andrew was born and raised in Aylesbury, the son of George and Katrina Unteriner. He was a resident of Aylesbury, Lloydminster and Regina. <br /><br />Andrew was predeceased by his wife Lena (Thomas) in 1991; son Charlie (Bev) in 2005, sister Wilhelmina; and four brothers. <br /><br />He is survived by his sister Edith Zerr of Indian Head; daughter Sandra Smith (Ben); grandchildren David Smith (Michelle), Debby Westerman (James), Zanita, Sandra and Nicole Unteriner; great grandchildren Rae and Madasson Smith, Braydon and Brianna Westerman and Cheyenne, Zelma, Andy, Charles and Lakota Unteriner. <br /><br />After serving with the Lake Superior Regiment in WWII, Andrew returned from Holland to Aylesbury and worked for Buttimer transport. Later becoming part owner and moving to Lloydminster with his wife Lena where they lived for several years before retiring and moving to Regina to be closer to their family. Andrew had a passion for fishing and camping. He spent many summer days with his family at Diefenbaker, Loon Lake and Turtle Lake. <br /><br />He loved old country and western books and movies. Andrew was a good carpenter and helped build and finish the Smith family cabin. <br /><br />On behalf of our family we would like to thank all of the employees of the Veterans Ward at the Regina Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for the great care you provided to Andrew over the past several years. <br /><br />A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens, 4001 Victoria East, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Please meet on the service road. <br /><br />In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you make a donation to the Wascana Rehabilitation Center, - Veteran&rsquo;s Ward 3-6, 2180 - 23 Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 0A5.<br /><br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850. <br /></div>
