It is with much sadness that the family of Adeline Owens announces her passing on January 30, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with Crohns and Diabetes.

She was predeceased by her parents Steve and Christine Golly; brother Matthew (in infancy); sister Florence; and in-laws Gordon and Ethel Owens.

Adeline is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bill; and their children Dan (Heather), Don, Sherry (Murray); grandchildren Adeline (Jeff), Chris (Tannis), Amanda (Jason) and Owen; plus great grandchildren Neveah and Douglas. She is also survived by her brother Herb (Olga); brother in laws; sister in laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Adeline was the cheerful, helpful person behind the desk and on the phone for the family’s landscaping business for 50+ years, Owens Landscaping. She will be greatly missed by both family and customers that dealt with her every season.

As well as working alongside her husband, Adeline also worked at Sunset Extendicare for 20 years. She loved her work and found it hard to retire in 2006, however, this allowed her more time with the family business.

In earlier years Adeline was an avid 10 bowler winning many trophies. She also enjoyed camping, playing cards and good times with family and friends. Adeline’s favorite times were spent with her husband, kids and grandkids.

She will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank the Pasqua I.C.U. staff as well as the staff on 3D and 4D for the wonderful compassionate care Adeline and the family received while in their care.

Donations in memory of Adeline may be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada, 1805 Ewart Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7H 2L1.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
