It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Zelda Cocks on Friday, February 20, 2015. She was born in Regina on March 24, 1922, and lived her entire life in this city.

Zelda (Toots) was predeceased by Jim, her husband of 63 years; parents William and Argentine Buckingham (nee Beaudin); and sister Gloria Stadler.

Our loving Mom, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother will be missed by her four sons, one daughter and their families. Left to honour and cherish our memories of her are son Brian (Darlene) and their children Stephen, Sean (Carey) with their daughter Sadie, and Scott (Pascale); son Dennis (Sandra) and their children Wesley and Naomi (Tony) Schellenberg with their daughter Lauren; son Paul (Arleen) and their children Tammy (Craig) Warden with sons Cole and Connor and Toby Cocks; son W. Frank (Colleen) and their children Sarah (Dan) Gelsinger with son Lukas and Daphne (Eric) McKinney; daughter Carol-Ellen (Conway) Crozier-Smith.

We will especially miss her playfulness and sense of humour. One could not leave her home without the game of "Tagged you last!" Mostly she won. Toots was also well-known for her closet with many costumes. She would turn up as a gorilla or witch or clown in the most surprising places.

Heart-felt thanks to the wonderful staff and volunteer workers at Santa Maria, especially the third floor staff, for their care and compassion.

In thanksgiving for and celebration of a life well-lived, a memorial service for Zelda will be held in the chapel at Santa Maria Senior Citizens' Home, 4215 Regina Ave., Regina, SK. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Zelda's memory may be made to the Santa Maria Foundation (see above address) or The Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 2250 12th Ave, # 301, Regina, SK. S4P 3X1.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
