William "Bill" Clarke
October 25, 1948 - December 9, 2016
Bill passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 after a two year battle with cancer, surrounded by family. Bill was born in Regina, SK to Edward Clarke and Dorothy (nee Gee).
Bill was predeceased by his parents; his stepfather William Helmer; stepsister Marion Bateman; and father-in-law Clary Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (nee Mitchell); his children and grandchildren Rachelle Clarke and Glenn, Mackenzie, and Connor Zaran; Russel, Jenn Rowe and Rowan; Camilla and Jeremy Walker; siblings Maureen and George Clish; Patsy and Pat Lawson and Bill Bateman; and the Mitchell in-laws Joan, Wendy, Shelley, Darren and Sheri; as well as many beloved nephews and nieces.
Bill spent many years serving the people of Regina, first as a member of the Regina City Police and then as a Deputy Sheriff. His passions and interests were wide-ranging, he was a voracious reader, an avid outdoorsmen and hobbyist but most important to Bill was laughing with and supporting his family.
Bill never missed an opportunity to help friends and family – often spending time helping others build, move or just providing helpful hints and tips. Bill had an amazing sense of humour, often pulling pranks and telling jokes that his family will tell for years to come. Bill will be deeply missed by those closest to him.
The family would like to thank our special friends Bonnie and Frank Briere, the dedicated staff of the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region with a very special thank you to Dr. M. Aslam, Dr. M. Kaldas and to the wonderful team at 3B, Pasqua Hospital.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
Flowers most gratefully declined; friends so wishing may make donations in memoriam to support refurnishing the 3B Family Room. Information will be available at the funeral.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
