<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Warren Holtby, beloved husband of Donna, on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Lompoc, California at the age of 85 years. <br> <br>He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jack. <br> <br>Warren is survived by his wife Donna of 36 years; his children: Brent (Marilyn), Stuart (Val), Carolyn (John) and Ronald (Tina); the mother of his children, Marcia; fifteen grandchildren: Carla (Jacques), Delta (Steve), Crystal (James), Dallas (Ryan), Dana (Ryan), Dustin, Russell (Paige), Brandon, Liam, Jenna, Kyle, Jonathan, Timothy, Nicholas and Connor; and seven great-grandchildren: Brayden, Jackson, Carter, Gavin, Myles, Zoe and Emelia; sister Enid; sisters-in-law Lila Holtby and Eva Pomeroy; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, associates and clients. <br> <br>Warren was born to Hilton and Margaret Holtby on June 16, 1931 in Senlac, SK and grew up on the family farm, attending Senlac School until finishing Grade 12. In 1954, he completed his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting at the University of Saskatchewan. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Regina and attained his Chartered Accountant (CA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations in 1957. Warren was a dedicated accountant who ran a successful private firm for almost 60 years. <br> <br>A sports enthusiast especially passionate about golf, Warren was a member of the Royal Regina Golf Course for 55 years, serving as President at one time. <br> <br>Warren offered financial advice to those in need, participated as a member of the Kiwanis Club and was a long-time and much-valued Salvation Army Advisory Board Chairperson and Honorary Lifetime Member. <br> <br> <br>Nicknamed “Gatsby” by his close friends, he was also known for his success in business, love of fishing, curling and gardening, his annual travel to Lompoc, California; his love of scotch, pizza, and of socializing with family and friends. <br> <br>A CELEBRATION OF WARREN’S LIFE will be held at the Wascana Golf and Country Club, 6500 Wascana Drive, Regina, SK on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Warren may be made to The Salvation Army PDR, 2240 13th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3M7 or online at www.salvationarmy.ca/prairie. <br> <br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
