Viola Orthner
June 28, 1927 - June 3, 2017
The Lord saw she was tired and called her home Saturday, June 3, 2017 to be with her husband Sieg, 25 days shy of her 90th birthday.
Cherishing her memory are her children Ken (Judy), Sandra (Arden) and Susan (Kerry); grandchildren Kent (Rhea), Kendra, Tara, Aaron (Amanda), Levon (Amber), Bryce (Kelly) and Travis (Heidi); 16 great grandchildren; brother Leonard (Lee); sisters Esther, Norma, Rose (Mort), and Dian (Bill); brother-in-law Oswald (Ethel); many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Martin and Lily; brothers Herb and Harold; sister Lorraine; and in-laws Ross, Pat, Dot and May; and brother-in-law Alfred (Verna).
Viola’s joys in life were her family, travelling and socializing with friends. She took pride making and creating beautiful pictures, crocheted for grandkids and quilting.
The family would like to thank the staff at Olive Branch Care Home for the wonderful care they gave Viola during her stay.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Viola may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK S4S 4N5 or a charity of your choice.
A SERVICE TO CELEBRATE VIOLA’S LIFE will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
