<div itemprop="description">It is with tears and joy that we celebrate the passing and the life of Veronica Schikowsky at the age of 103 years. She was our mom, grandma, sister and loyal friend. <br /><br />She was predeceased by her husband Carl; six brothers; and five sisters. <br /><br />Veronica is survived by her children, Maureen (Garry) Kelowna, BC, Kathleen (Harvey) Regina, SK and Richard (Debbie) Avonlea, SK; grandchildren, Jacqueline (James), Avonlea, SK, Trevor (Allison), Vancouver, BC, Michael, Saskatoon, SK and Kim (Dino,) Prince Albert, SK; great grandchildren, Ben (Sonja), Regina, SK, Karlee, Regina, SK, Alex, Saskatoon, SK, Hannah, Lethbridge, AB, and Zachery, Prince Albert, SK; brother Anthony (Lenora), Claybank, SK; sister Marie, Tswassen, BC, brother Norbert (Lorraine), Avonlea, SK; sister Leone, Courtenay, BC; and brother David (Linda), Kelowna, BC; and her very special care giver Gratta. <br /><br />Veronica was the eldest of 17 children of Linus and Helena Dombowsky of Avonlea, SK. As a young girl, she was her Mom&rsquo;s right hand in taking care of her younger siblings. She loved them all and remained close to each one throughout her entire life. Veronica was selfless in demonstrating her love for her family, and we all knew that we could count on her for anything whether big or small. <br /><br />Veronica had a deep faith and love for our Heavenly Father and experienced His blessings and interventions many times. Your children thank you for the gift of faith. Mom, we love you and miss you and will follow your footsteps until we meet again. <br /><br />Prayers will be held at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2180 23rd Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel on the 2nd floor. <br /><br />A Funeral Service will be held in Claybank, SK on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. <br /><br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Veronica to a charity of your choice. <br /><br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
