<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce that Verna passed away suddenly at home at the age of 59 years. <br /> <br /> She is remembered by her brother Randy Ireland and his children Elisha, Jordan, and Marissa; sister Shannon (Paul) Steiner and their children Joseph (Cara), Adam (Chelsey) and Erica; sister-in-law Evelyn Ireland (Lee Buckmaster) and Evelyn&rsquo;s children Nicholas and David (Meagan); nieces Jennifer and Charity (Junior); nephew Jayson; great nieces and nephews, Brett, Nolan, Colton, Brayden, Gavin, Madeline, Gabriella, and Sieanna. <br /> <br /> Verna was predeceased by her mother Lillian Ireland (nee Berting) in 1980; father Victor Ireland in 1991; brother Rodger Ireland in 1995; sister Victoria Ireland in 2011; and great niece Alexandra in 1993. <br /> <br /> Verna was born in Saskatoon, SK and at the age of ten her family moved to Swift Current. <br /> <br /> After graduating high school she lived in Calgary, Whitecourt and Saskatoon, finally settling in Regina where she worked for many years at Sears Canada. <br /> <br /> After Sears she went to work for New Careers and Saskatchewan Learning. <br /> <br /> Despite chronic illness and declining health she continued to enjoy cross- stitching, reading and numerous other craft projects, but her favorite thing was time spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. <br /> <br /> A GRAVESIDE SERVICE celebrating Verna&rsquo;s life will be held at St. Anthony&rsquo;s Mausoleum, Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Please meet on the service road. <br /> <br /> Donations in memory of Verna may be made to Chip and Dale Housing Inc., 425 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK S4R 8P2 or the Regina Humane Society P.O.
