It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Tara Regush at the age of 50 years. With her family by her side, Tara passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, AB.

With open arms to meet Tara is her son, Chase; grandparents Mary and Warren Harley and Magda and Sam Apesland.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Darrel Regush; son Cole; daughter Cassidy; mother Velma Harley; father Harold (Anna) Apesland; brothers Brent (Katherine), Warren (Debbie), and Kirk (Wei Fong); brothers-in-law Brant (Rosanne) and Terrance (Gina); sisters-in-law Roberta (Palmer), and Angie (Wade); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tara was born on March 21, 1964 in Prince Albert, SK to the delight of her three brothers. Her early years were spent in Weldon, SK where she enjoyed small town living. It was this love of “the simple life” that later guided her to the wonderful community of Lumsden, SK. Tara’s teenage years were spent in Prince Albert where she graduated from Carlton Comprehensive High School.

In 1990 Tara graduated from SIAST with a diploma in Psychiatric Nursing. This was her true calling as it allowed her gentle, caring and compassionate nature to shine.

During the summer of 1995 Tara married the love of her life, Darrel Regush. Soon their family grew with the arrival of their son Cole and daughter Cassidy. Tara’s children were her everything – her reason for being. She loved gardening on their little piece of paradise in the valley as well as travelling, specifically to the Hawaiian Islands. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends. Tara had an uncanny ability of making everyone she met feel as though they were an old friend.

A CELEBRATION OF TARA’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

Donations in memory of Tara may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Saskatchewan Region. 2320 – 15th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 1A2.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
