<div itemprop="description">It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Stewart Ringheim. Stewart was born June 22, 1924 and passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014. <br /><br />He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen in 2008; his parents, Horace and Jean Ringheim; his only sibling, Ruth; and an infant grandson, Ryan McKenzie. <br /><br />He will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Leslie McKenzie (John) and their children Lindsay and Scott; Kent Ringheim (Rhonda) and their children Roxanne Danberg (Ryan) and great-grandson Sullivan, Breanne Al Idrissi (Mohamed) and great-grandson Omar; James Ringheim (Hazel) and their children Eric, Logan and Claire; Janet Grimes (Harold) and their children Justin and Megan. <br /><br />Stewart completed his high school education at City Park Collegiate in 1942 in Saskatoon. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Civil Engineering. He obtained a Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in June 1949. Following graduation he began his career with PFRA (Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration) as a civil engineer in Saskatoon, followed by 9 years at Cutbank, Sk where he was instrumental in the design and construction of Gardiner Dam. The family moved to Regina where Stewart continued his career with PFRA in Regina until his retirement in 1980. From 1981 until 1999 Stewart continued his engineering career as a consultant on several Alberta and Saskatchewan earth dam projects. <br /><br />Stewart&rsquo;s family meant everything to him. Some of his favourite times were at Waskesiu Lake in the early years of raising the family followed by many memorable gatherings at the summer cottage at Diefenbaker Lake. He took great pride in seeing the development and growth of his children and grandchildren. <br /><br />Stewart&rsquo;s hobbies and interests included woodworking, hunting, fishing, golfing and playing bridge. He was a member of the Regina Probus Club and also a member of Wesley Church. <br /><br />A move to Broadway Terrace in 2009 brought a new circle of friends for Stewart. It is here he lived out his final 5 years as an active member of the Broadway Terrace community. He will be truly missed by all those whose lives he touched. <br /><br />In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, donations in Stew&rsquo;s memory may be made to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. <br /><br />A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Broadway Terrace, 1150 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. <br /><br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850. <br /></div>
