Shirley Jones
July 24, 1937 - March 23, 2016
The family of Shirley Ann Jones (Lindsay) are saddened to announce her passing on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
She was born in St. Boniface, MB on July 24, 1937 to Ernest and Dorothy Lindsay.
Shirley is survived by her sister Norma; her children Lorna (Danny), Kathleen (Myles) and Barry (Melodie); her grandchildren Chris (Dominique), Shannon (Denis), Darren, Nathan and Nicole; her great-grandchildren Brianna and Thomas; along with her special puppy Shredder.
Shirley was an independent woman for the greater part of her life and was always one to insist on accomplishing things for herself. She had a strength of character that inspires all who survive her. Her years spent with the Regina Flying Club gave her many dear friends.
Her talents as a seamstress were beyond compare and only equaled by her memory of our family history. From dolly clothes to wedding dresses and from every event she remembered, she was always a person of formidable knowledge and skill. Sitting and listening to our Nana recall events gone by is something we will all greatly miss as we go forward.
A Private Family Gathering will take place at a later date to celebrate her life.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
