Sandy Van Nes
May 30, 1961 - August 28, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sandy on Sunday, August 28, 2016.
She was predeceased by her father Charles; mother Barbara; and brother Vernon.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 33 years and best friend Brad; daughter Sarah; and son Daniel (Brittany).
She was born in Concepcion, Chile and came to Regina at the age of two.
Sandy loved to scrapbook and she spent many hours and weekends with Sarah and many of her friends preserving memories.
She also loved to cook for her daycare kids, her family and for Girl Guide Camps. It was a labour of love for her to can and freeze the garden harvest, experimenting with new recipes and perfecting old favourites.
Sandy will be sorely missed as she was a caring mother to us all.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Donations in memory of Sandy may be made to the Girl Guides of Canada – SK Council, 200-1530 Broadway Ave. Regina, SK S4P 1E2.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
