<div itemprop="description">Ron Englot passed away peacefully at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice on Monday, January 16, 2017 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. <br> <br>He was predeceased by his grandparents Walter and Ann Englot and Anthony and Rose Borowski; and his parents Joseph and Anne Englot. <br> <br>Ron leaves to cherish his memory his wife Corrine; daughter Caitlin Englot; and son Carter Englot; brothers Reg Englot (Clara), David Englot (Linda) and Max Englot (Noreen); sister Denise Englot; parents-in-law James (Carol) Chabun; sister-in-law Debbie Matchett (Floyd); brother-in-law Dayle Chabun (Agnes); and numerous much-loved nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Ron was raised in the Glenavon, SK farming community. <br> <br>After graduation he obtained a Computer Technology designation at SAIT in Calgary, AB. Ron returned to Saskatchewan in 1978 to pursue his passion for farming while working at SaskPower, and then SaskEnergy as an IT Manager. <br> <br>Throughout his life Ron was an avid hockey and dance dad; attending and coaching his children's sports teams was always a priority. <br> <br>He pursued many interests: piloting a plane, scuba diving and guiding international hunters in northern Saskatchewan. In his retirement he realized a lifelong dream of building a log cabin using traditional building methods. <br> <br>The family would like to express our thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Pasqua Hospital 3B, 3A and the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. <br> <br>A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3. <br> <br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
