Heaven gained another angel on Friday, June 26, 2015 when we were forced to say a sudden goodbye to our beloved partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Peter Piluk at the age of 87 years.

Pete was predeceased by his wife Opal Amelia Piluk; daughter Deborah Marie Thompson; granddaughter Jill Ann Thompson; and great granddaughter Hannah Rain Handysides.

Pete is survived by his dear partner Irene Steinhauer; granddaughters Amy Thompson and Jodi Hedley (Chris); daughter Pam Alford (Steve) and their children Keely Handysides (Josh) and Paul Alford (Sophie); Irene’s daughter Diane Hegyi (Ginty) and their children Brandi Hegyi (Armando), Kylie Hegyi (Trevor) and daughter Kenzie; great-grandchildren Amelia, Eliza and William Handysides and son in law Al Thompson (Barb).

Hard work, determination and soldiering on best describe our Pete. He was a hard worker throughout his lifetime, focusing for many years on his passion for mechanics, tires and welding/ironworking. One of his greatest accomplishments is the wrought iron fence that surrounds Valleyview Cemetery near Tantallon, SK.

Grandpa, you are eternally loved and will be profoundly missed. You were very special to us all. We will find comfort knowing you are now at peace alongside the special angels who went before you. In the name of Daddio, Laddio and Spooky – rest in peace, dearest soul.

In respect of Pete’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.

A private family internment will be held in the coming weeks at the Valleyview Cemetery.

The family gratefully declines any donations in Pete’s memory.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
