<div itemprop="description">Monique Estelle (Coco) (née Fauchon) Brecht passed away at 60 years of age surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital in Regina. <br><br>Monique was born on August 31, 1956 to Denis Fauchon and Thérèse (L’Heureux) Fauchon who were living with Mémère and Pépère L’Heureux in Gravelbourg, SK. She had two sisters, Michelle and Margo and a brother Marc, the four known by their mother as the four M’s. <br><br>Monique attended the Gravelbourg Elementary School until the family’s move to Regina in 1970. She then attended O’Neill High School where she met the love of her life, Warren Brecht. They were married on December 6, 1975 at St. Peter’s Church in Regina. Monique obtained a diploma as a stylist from Marvel’s School of Beauty. She worked several years as a stylist alongside her mother at their in-home beauty salon. <br><br>After staying at home to raise their two children, Allison and Christopher, she returned to work alongside her mother in a part-time position at Heinrich’s Jewellery Store. This new field soon became her passion, Monique reaching top salesperson on several occasions. She later joined the team at Victoria Jewellers until her retirement from the business only a few years ago. Monique was also an active partner in the Brecht Brothers Stucco Company, a second-generation family business. She volunteered at their church and was involved in several other community efforts. <br><br>Monique took great joy and much pleasure in looking after her family. She hosted many family gatherings all with great food and great fun. Her grandchildren, Athena and Alek held a very special place in her heart and were the love of her life, devoting much of her time years caring for them. <br><br>Monique is survived by her loving husband Warren; daughter Allison; grandchildren Athena and Alekzandr; son Christopher; siblings Margo Fauchon (Donald Michaud), Michelle Fauchon and Marc Fauchon; and nieces and nephews Joel, Charisse, Gabrielle, Brad, Mark, Alex and Zach. <br><br>The family would like to acknowledge the support given by Palliative Homecare and the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. <br><br>PRAYERS will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. (TONIGHT). <br><br>A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Monique may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
