Merlyn "Murray" Irvine
February 21, 1935 - December 12, 2013
Merlyn “Murray” passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the age of 78 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Lillas; wife Dorothy; brother Wayne and nephew Blair.
Murray is survived by his companion of 37 years Noreen Northcott; children Richard, Douglas, Laura (Doug) Hoffmann; Noreen’s children Melissa Northe and Daniel Northcott; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Meta (Don) Murray as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Murray went to the University of Agriculture. He was an active member of the Kinsmen K40.
Murray enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, coaching hockey, woodworking, gambling and volunteering in the community. He was a farmer and raised cattle.
He also enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Texas.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Donations in memory of Murray may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301, 2550 – 12 Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
