Maxine "Max" Katherine Samways
August 31, 1948 - October 25, 2014
Maxine (Max) Katherine Samways passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66 years, on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
Max was born August 31, 1948 and lived all but two years of her life in Regina.
She was predeceased by her parents Mathias and Elizabeth (Burghardt) Achtzener and father in-law Frederick John Samways.
Left behind to cherish her memory are Ron, husband of 42 years; son Kurt and Tamara (Ritchie) (Fredericton, NB); daughter Julie and Mark Dimler; grandsons Justin and Nathan (Grenfell, SK); and daughter Dana and Aaron Richardson.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her mother in-law Dorothy Samways; sister Betty Ann and Andy Koncz; brother John and Mona Achtzener (Victoria, BC); brother in-law John Samways (Montreal); sister in-law Mary (Samways) and Walter Olekshy (Sherwood Park, AB); uncle Harry Burghardt; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Highway # 1 East, Regina, SK on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Max to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan 301-2550, 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
