<div itemprop="description">Marie (Olfert) Quiring passed from this life to her eternal home on June 21, 2013, at the age of 103 years 8 months. <br /> <br />She was born in Rush Lake, SK, on October 20, 1909. <br /> <br />Marie was a loved and cherished mother who spent most of her life as a farm homemaker in the Lucky Lake, SK, and Regina areas. <br /> <br />She was predeceased by her husband Abraham (1975); two daughters, Shirley (2012) and Marion (1968); son-in-law Gus; her mother and father, Marie and Dietrich Olfert; two sisters, Annie and Tina and one brother, David. <br /> <br />She leaves to mourn two daughters, Marlene (Les) and Miriam (Stanley); one son, Dwight (Ruth). Marie was blessed with five grandchildren, Carolyn (Bob), Faye (Adonis), Lisa (Rod), Luke (Susan), and Melissa (Brad), whom she loved dearly. <br /> <br />As well, she has ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. <br /> <br />Marie was fortunate to spend all but the final year of her life in her own home, spending the last year at William Booth Special Care Home. <br /> <br />The family would like to thank the staff at William Booth for the loving care they gave to Marie. <br /> <br />A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Marie was a strong believer in God and was one of the founding members of the Western Children&rsquo;s Mission in Lucky Lake. <br /> <br />After moving to Regina, she attended Bethel Temple which later became Southside Pentecostal Church. <br /> <br /> For those so desiring, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Marie be made to World Vision Canada, Box 2500, Mississauga, ON L5M 2H2 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3. <br /> <br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
