<div itemprop="description">Margaret passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2016. <br><br>Margaret was predeceased by her parents Walter and Hedwig Engelke; brother Alex Engelke; and in-laws Wilma Gilmer; Nick Stropko and Dennis Kerr. <br><br>She is survived by her loving husband Neil of over 63 years; her children Wayne (Cheryl), Val Byers (Ray Olson), Eleanor (Jamie Cook), Sandra (Ken Burton), Roland and Candyce (Percy Laurin); grandchildren Aaron (Kerri) Byers, Laura (Matthew) Ruzesky, Justin and Chris Burton, Brendan and Reagan Cook and Danica Laurin; great grandchildren Nora and Caleb Byers; sister Gladys Stropko; sister-in-law June Engelke; Neil’s family Willene Kerr, Donna (Bob) Baldwin, Murray (Donna May) Byers; along with numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>Margaret was born on February 9, 1931 near Steelman, SK. <br><br>She dedicated her life to her loving family. She was supportive of Neil in his pursuits of teaching, politics, farming and music and was a loving caregiver to Neil in later years. Margaret provided an open, welcoming home to many people throughout the years. She had a special bond with each of her children and with her many cats, especially her favorite cat, Orphy. <br><br> Margaret loved gardening and enjoyed working in her yard and grew many beautiful flowers. Her vegetable garden on their Frobisher farm was large and plentiful and was shared with many. <br><br>The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Park Personal Care home for their loving care over the past three years.<br><br>A CELEBRATION OF MARGARET’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Margaret’s memory to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 1802 McAra Street, Regina SK S4N 6C4 or the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina SK S4P 3G7. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850. <br></div>
