<div itemprop="description">HEGGLIN &ndash; Joe was born on October 9, 1919 in the Crosswood district. Joe passed away peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on May 18, 2015. <br /> <br />He was predeceased by his parents Alois and Bertha; brothers Alois and Karl; and sister Clara. <br /><br />Joe is survived by his loving wife Helen; daughter Brenda (Len) Zinkewich; grandchildren Jaryd and Tanya; brother Herman; sister Olga; plus nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. <br />Joe attended Havelock School. Swiss was the language spoken at his home, so Joe needed to learn to speak English at school. During his school days he helped with the farm work. Being the eldest, Joe started plowing with five horses at a very young age.<br /> <br />After completing school, Joe invented two patents which he received a reward for both. Before Joe was married, he attended Balfour Tech. in Regina; was in the army; employed as a farm laborer and worked one winter in a logging camp in Ontario. <br /><br />He took up the trade as a telephone repair person for five years. Joe built a grain cleaner and cleaned grain in the district for a number of years. Joe started farming in 1945. <br /><br />In 1950 he married Helen Wagner from the Southey district. Not only did Joe design/built his house and farm buildings, he was a very good mechanic/welder. Joe was blessed with good health and retired farming in 2008. <br /><br />A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. <br /><br />A Funeral Service will be held at Regina Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. <br /><br />Donations in memory of Joe may be made to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.<br /> <br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850. <br /><br />Many thanks to all who have been a part of Joe&rsquo;s life. <br /></div>
