John Most, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away in Regina, SK on Friday, August 14, 2015.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Joseph Most; sister, Marlene Dreher; brother, Dave Most; mother-in-law, Helen Zenzeluk; and brother-in-law, Laverne Stack.

John will be forever missed, remembered and loved by his wife of 50 years, Patricia. John is also survived by his sons, Gregg (Barb), Darren (Merridy) and Cam; his grandchildren, Alexander, Kathryn, William and Ashton; sisters, Dolores Stack (Regina), Margaret ( Dave) Perry (Vancouver); sister-in-law, Arletta Most, (Regina); brother-in-law, Frank Dreher, (Edmonton); father-in-law, Steve Zenzeluk (Regina); as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

John had a long and successful career in the automotive business. He started working at a very young age with White Rose Oil. He went on to become Service Manager at Neil Motors. In 1967, he started his own successful automotive repair business, Neil’s Corner Shell, on the corner of Albert and 12th. After Neil’s Corner closed, he tried semi-retirement, but found he missed his business and customers. Soon after, he took over Victoria Shell. In recent years, he worked early mornings at Arcola Shell, a family business, where he often enjoyed coffee with his friends and customers.

His family was proud of his success and Pat and his sons followed with businesses of their own. He consistently offered his support and guidance and took pride in their accomplishments. John had a passion for customer service and enjoyed talking to and finding out about people wherever he was. He was always interested in what they had to say about their lives. He loved spending time with his sons and talking about and especially going to Formula 1 races. He was always happy spending time with his family and beloved dogs at the cottage at Pasqua Lake. He loved his yearly trips to Hawaii with Pat and many friends. He was an excellent bird hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman- a passion he shared with his sons and long- time friend, Jim. In later years, he enjoyed peacefully watching, identifying and talking about the birds. Always an adventurer, just recently, John flew in a B-17 Bomber and drove a Segway. Even at the end of his life, he was young at heart and an eternal optimist.

We would like to express sincere thanks to Pat and Doug Richards and Perry Langford for their hard work and support so that we could bring John home. Also, to the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, the Pasqua Hospital, and Palliative Care Ward and to the Palliative Care Home team for their compassionate and wonderful care. They became part of our family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 7T1, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 150 Albert Street, Regina SK S4R 2N2 or Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4F - 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5.

A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish, 315 Douglas Ave E, Regina, SK on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. A Celebration of John’s Life will follow at the Wascana Country Club.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
