<div itemprop="description">Jim slipped away quietly on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home in Regina with the comfort of family by his side at the age of 92 years. <br><br>Jim leaves his wife of almost 69 years, Elizabeth “Liz” McFerran; four daughters Wendy Phenix of White City, Carol McFerran of Calgary, Crystal (Gord) Asmussen of St. Albert, AB and Sheila Kelly of Regina; sister Rita Jenner of Kaleden, BC; grandchildren Julie Smolinski, Jackie Tower, Bobbi Nash, Danine Faber, Trevor Phenix, Aaron Asmussen, Jared Asmussen, Jordanne Brown, Connor Brown and Nolan Brown; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>Jim was born on September 6, 1924 in North Battleford. He lived there until he joined the service and was deployed to Europe during World War II. On his return, he found a home in Regina where he met his wife Liz. <br><br>Jim had a long tenure (45 years) as a Partsman with International Harvester Company. <br><br>An avid camper, golfer and gardener Jim enjoyed many summer seasons in the company of family and friends at Wakaw Regional Park, where he surely holds the record for walking around the campground and is well known for enjoying and sharing a good joke. <br><br>A GRAVESIDE SERVICE AND RECEPTION will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:45 p.m. Please join the procession at the Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery service road for interment, followed by a tea and celebration of Jim’s life in the Arbor Room. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to your favorite charity. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
