Our dear mother Jackie passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2014 with her children at her side.

Jackie raised four wonderful children, eight grandchildren and numerous dogs, cats, horses and other pets. Jackie was a quiet person who didn't want anyone to create a fuss about her.

She was born on December 27, 1930 in Manitou, SK and spent time in the Canadian Reserves training in Halifax. Her parents were hoteliers and Jackie spent much of her childhood helping out at the hotel.

She loved to ride and show horses and soon met Jack MacNaughton at the Regina Riding Club. In August of 1957 she married John Arthur (Jack) MacNaughton and spent her life raising children and working at the Red Cross Blood Bank. Jackie along with her husband Jack owned and operated Double J Saddlery while running a horse boarding and riding stable. Later in life Jackie tried her hand at real estate. She was a member of the Regina Aquarium Society and was a Grand Master Breeder. As a member of the Canadian Kennel Club she enjoyed showing her two purebred Silkie Terriers.

Mom was always up for a game of Yahtzee or bridge and she was a very competitive Monopoly player!

She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1982.

Jackie is survived by her son Michael (Cindy) and their children Mahriah and Mitchell; daughter Kelly (Don) Larwood and their children Christopher, Jeff, Kent (Elishia) and their son Logan and Michael (Chandra); daughter Leslie (Mark) Kinzel and children Madison and Montana; daughter Linda (Lyle) Buzash and children Ashton, Kohl and Courtney; sisters Paulette (Ted) Frenyea and Joanne (Bob) Croisdale; niece Krystine (Terry) Knechtel; and nephews Christopher (Bonnie) and Morgan Croisdale.

Special thanks to the staff at ward 4A of the Pasqua Hospital and Wintergreene Estates Retirement Home who went out of their way to accommodate and care for Jackie in her last days.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7 as Jackie loved animals.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
