Irvine Gaw
July 27, 1936 - December 12, 2016
Irvine was born July 27, 1936 at Baring, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 80 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Ethel Gaw; brothers Jack, Laurie, Bill and Bobbie; sister Marion; and recently sister-in-law Madeline.
Irvine will be greatly missed by his sister Dolores; brothers Cliff and Murray (Barbara); cousin Agnes; as well as by his many nieces and nephews.
Irvine’s career was surveying of which he engaged in from 1954 to 1986 after which he had his own small business assisting a Calgary Surveyor. He retired in 1989 but still did part time work as support for surveying teams going north.
After fully retiring at 65 he spent most of his time at home and in his yard and particularly enjoyed garage sales in the summer months.
Most recently his health required his move to Regina Pioneer Village where he received the care he needed and for which the family is very appreciative.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
