<div itemprop="description">June passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at age 91 in Calgary hospital surrounded by daughters Marliss and Gaylene. <br><br>She was predeceased by husband Harold; father Henry; mother Martha; sisters Adeline and Vi; daughter in law Lyta; and granddaughters Anna and Sara. <br><br>June is survived by her children Marliss (Mark), Gaylene, Garnet (Julie), Grant (Mona), and Warren; grandchildren Matt (Shannon), Ryan (Cass), Josh, Brenden (Amanda), Amie (Ryan), Kris (Melinda), Kasey (Marjie), Kayti (Rocky) and Travis (Somp); great grandchildren Emma, Mia, Brodie, Teagan, Brayden, Asher and Griffin. Also surviving are June’s twin brothers Dayle and Doyle (Beatrice) and nieces Stacey (Dave) and Sherry. <br><br>June was born and raised in the Lewvan area. She worked at the Sanatorium at Fort Qu’Appelle, and taught school at St Petersburg School during which time she meet Harold her husband of 45 years. <br><br> She also worked for a short time at Arthur Rose Drycleaners in Regina and then spent the next many years at 1147 Montague. For the first several years there, she and Harold helped care for the home owner Dan Matheson, an elderly man who had lost his leg working on the railway. <br><br>The next number of years were spent raising 5 children and eventually hosting 8 grandchildren. <br><br>After Harold’s passing in January, 1994 June lived in several locations in Regina before moving to Saskatoon for 5 years after which time she moved to Didsbury, Alberta to live with son Garnet where she resided until her passing. <br><br>June’s strong faith and Christian belief of where she was headed was always at the forefront of her life, something she instilled in all her children. She saw life as a “collection of moments”, many joyous and some not. The “joyous times” were just a small glimpse of what June’s reward is now. <br><br> June’s grandsons Josh, Ryan, Kasey, Kris, Matt and Brenden will carry her to her final resting place. <br><br> A VISITIATION will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. <br><br>A GRAVESIDE SERVICE with Reverend Craig Moeller officiating will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of June’s Life. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850. <br><br></div>
