Franklin Charles Peterson
February 25, 1934 - May 27, 2017
Surrounded by his loving family, Franklin Charles Peterson passed peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, May 27, 2017.
The family that he loved who went before him are his father Burton Peterson; mother Winnifred (nee McNabb); sister Mary Lou Deblaere (Larry); brother Robert; brother James; and sister Barbara Laminger. Also preceding Frank were his father-in-law Jon Breidal and mother-in-law Kristrun (nee Gudnason (Gudmundson)); and brothers-in-law Bertel, Helgi, Skip, Kristjan, John Murray, Johannes Breidal, Halgrimmur Erickson and Larry Schau.
Frank continues to be cherished by his wife of 58 years, Anna (nee Breidal); daughter Kathleen (Norm Daschle) and granddaughter Annalise Peterson-Perry; daughter Elizabeth Tribe (David) and grandchildren Ellen, Emily and Jackson; and son Byron (Sandra Nakata). Also surviving him are his dear sisters-in-law Doreen Peterson, Bette Robertson, Valgerdur Erickson, Bonnie Schau, Donna Breidal and Lilja Koldyk; and brother-in-law Johannes Koldyk. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families, whom he loved dearly.
Frank was born in Winnipeg on February 25, 1934 and grew up in St. Boniface where he attended King George School and Norwood Collegiate. He worked 38 years for Otis Elevators both in Winnipeg and Regina, and occasionally in other places in every province in Canada. Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Family, including his extended family, were very important to him. He took pride in everything he did whether it was gardening, fixing and maintaining his cars, woodworking, and a good round of golf and an ice cream cone with his sweetie, Annie.
