<div itemprop="description">After living every day of her 94 years to the fullest, Evelyn passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. <br /><br />Evelyn was predeceased by her cherished husband, Harold Clifford Drew in 1993. Also predeceasing Evelyn where her parents, Bertha Thurza (Dodge) and Arthur Gottfrid Nelson; her sister, brothers and sister-in-law: Merle (Larry) Trenholme, George Nelson, Laurel (Rita) Nelson and Corwin Nelson, her brother-in-law Clarence Drew; as well as other relatives. <br /><br />She will be greatly missed by her beloved children Brian (Catherine), Dwain (Janet), Wanda and Lyle (Carla) Drew. Dear to her heart were her grandchildren and their spouses Michelle (David) Parker, Petrea (Alan) McCoy, Travis (Christine) Drew, Tracy (Myron) Polis, Alison Drew, Garrett Drew, Bryce Drew and Wyatt Drew; Her precious great-grandchildren are: Christopher and Craig McCormick, Ryan Drew, Riley and Ashley Parker, Eva and Finn McCoy, Kayla, Corwin and Payton Drew. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Isabella Nelson and Arline Nelson, Harvey Lammer, John &amp; Margaret Raine; and her much loved nieces and nephews. <br /><br />Evelyn grew up in Wilcox, SK. She had a wonderful life and so enjoyed her immediate and extended family. As a young girl, she was active in the community church, girls youth groups, sports activities and school. A special talent in music led her to study music after high school. She obtained her Physiotherapy Diploma from the University of Toronto in 1942 and then worked in Toronto and Vancouver. <br /><br />In 1945 she married Harold and they lived two years in Saskatoon while Harold went to university to obtain a Diploma in Agriculture. They then moved to the farm near Estlin, SK. where they enjoyed a happy life together. Evelyn participated in many community groups and activities. Her passion for music was shown by singing in community choirs and enjoying the Regina Symphony Orchestra. Evelyn took great pleasure in attending classes at the Regina Senior&rsquo;s Education Centre. <br /><br />She liked to travel and enjoyed camping trips in northern Saskatchewan with her family, traveling throughout Canada, the USA and Europe. Evelyn loved living on the farm and continued to do so after Harold&rsquo;s death. In recent years she lived with her daughter Wanda in Saskatoon under her loving care. <br /><br />A CELEBRATION OF EVELYN'S LIFE will be held at Whitmore Park United Church, 336 Durham Drive, Regina, SK on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. (fellowship reception with family to follow service). <br /><br />To honour the memory of Evelyn, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or to a charity of your choice. <br /><br />The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the home care services provided by the Saskatoon Health Region, Nurse Next Door, and to Royal University Hospital staff for their kind and excellent care of Evelyn. <br /><br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
