Emilie Hozempa
July 14, 1924 - January 29, 2017
Emilie, formerly from Candiac and Glenavon, SK passed away at the age of 92 years with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents John and Katherine (Lutzko); siblings Joe (Katherine), Vera (Fred) Yates, Peter, Allan and Rose (Steve) Burkowski; niece Pauline Hozempa; grandnieces Tina Hozempa, and Dawn Englot; nephews-in-law Kelly Maccan, Julian Englot, Jim Wightman and Gerry Deck.
Emilie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Emilie was raised on a farm. She enjoyed extensive travel at home and abroad, initially living in Europe while with the Royal Canadian Air Force. She also enjoyed historical novels, crocheting, knitting, movies, sports, musical performances including the symphony. She loved outings with family and friends.
The Catholic faith was very important to her.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date, at St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, in Candiac, SK.
If friends so desire, a contribution may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery Fund, in care of Frank Englot, Glenavon, SK or a charity of your choice.
