Earl sadly left us on Monday, March 16, 2015. He was born in Radville, SK on October 18, 1929.

He was predeceased by his lovely wife Katherine, parents Gunnard and Fern; and dear great granddaughter Emma-Lee.

Earl was born and raised during the 1930’s on a farm that fed eight brothers and sisters and hard working parents. He followed in the tradition of work hard to make a dollar and nothing got wasted. A time when trust and friendship were valued, and your personal integrity was important. Earl never stopped making friends with everyone in the community; the thing is, he remembered everyone he met – forever, their children, where they worked, and what they spoke about!

In 1953, Earl married a woman with the same values as his, Kay. During Earl’s career he worked construction, tank assembly, highway and city truck driving and delivery. Earl loved to laugh and especially make others laugh! We know he will always be watching over us, and we will miss seeing and listening to our Dad.

We will forever be his grateful children, Linda Rostad (Dave), Dale (Leanne), Calvin (Shelley), Randy (Barb), and Darcy (Debbie); grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; friends; dear sister and friend Phyllis Cherpin; and sister Selma Bellevance. Earl loved and will be dearly missed by all.

A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Earl may be made to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.

Darcy says it best How we all feel about our Dad. So we are posting it here. See some of our Photos of dad as well.
I have to let all of my friends and family know how great of a DAD I had. I am the man today because of the man I knew. DAD brought me up teaching me respect and to always love my family no matter what. I learned that what you give is what you get back. DAD always gave and never expected anything back in return.....DAD was always there for me even if I done wrong to teach me right! I am the man today because of the man I knew....Many people say their Dad is their hero...My dad was more than that...DAD was the man I would ask advise from...DAD was the man that loved me unconditionally....DAD was the man that taught me a days work was not worth a dollar it was worth a million if it fed your family and put a roof over your head which DAD always made sure I had....DAD was the man that would look you in the eye just to say he cared.....DAD was all this and much much more. I was fortunate and privilaged to of had this man.....my Dad in my life for the last 48 yrs and I intend to love and cherish my own loved ones as DAD did all his life. I don't intend to be half the man you are DAD....I intend to be all the man you were DAD because you told me to! Thanks for being my Dad! RIP from my family DAD Debbie Nelson Jennifer Nelson Jacob Nelson Steve Bloch Emma-Lee and Lily-Bug
