<div itemprop="description">Doreen passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. <br><br>She was predeceased by her husband Niels; sister Edna; brothers Murray, Roy, Ray and Ian. <br><br>She is survived by her children Bonnie (Blaine), Carla (Sandra) and Erik (Isabelle); brother Morris; grandchildren Kirk, Samantha, and Ewen; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. <br><br>Doreen was born and raised on the family farm near Fillmore, SK. <br><br>After completing her business course in Lethbridge she moved to Regina where she met the love of her life. Doreen and Niels were married in 1956 and started their family. They split their time between their home in Regina and their cottage at Pasqua Lake. They also loved their winters in Phoenix. <br><br>Doreen’s fondest memories were at the cabin surrounded by her friends and family for over 45 years. Her other passions were morning crosswords, afternoon reading followed by the Young and the Restless, and she would never turn down a game of Trivial Pursuit. <br><br>The family would like to extend a special thank you to the numerous care providers and friends who made this final journey easier. <br><br>A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 1802 McAra Street, Regina, SK S4N 6C4. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
