It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Popa, brother and friend.

Don was born in Indian Head, SK and spent his summers at the Ash Cottage on Katepwa Lake which he loved and shared with many family and friends over the years. Don worked within many levels of local government and consulting and was an avid music lover and musician.

He was predeceased by his wife Florence who passed in 2009 who he missed greatly.

Don will be forever cherished and missed by his loving children Gina Fedora and Erik Nelson (Kamloops), Brad and Judy Fedora (Calgary), Michael and Mardy Ash, Simon and Lyndsay Ash, and Jane Ash and Damian Pelletier of Regina. Don’s kind and giving spirit will forever live on through his grandchildren whom he adored dearly, Brie, Keigan, Emma, Illyana, Cameron, Alden, William, Brody, Drew, Royan and Marlee. Family and friends were all that was important to Don and he always held a special place in his heart for his brothers and extended family, Barrie and Joanne, Kent, Grant and Deb, and brother in law and sisters in law, Bill and Judith Fox and Delores Fox. All of Don’s nieces and nephews, friends and business associates were also a vital piece of Don’s family. Don’s kind nature extended to animals as well. In particular he loved his little devoted guard dog Max.

The family will always be grateful for the special and professional care provided to Don by the giving and amazing staff at Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital and the Home Care Group as well as Dr. Chalchal and his assistant John at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic. The medical staff made an unbelievable difference to the quality of Don’s last few years with us. Having beat cancer once, the team that helped Don in this complicated and emotional environment was greatly appreciated.

As Don would have put it, “A simple thank you seems so inadequate”.

A CELEBRATION OF DON’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Don may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
