<div itemprop="description">We are saddened to announce the passing of David James “D.J.” Burski after a four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the age of 49 years. <br><br>He was predeceased by his grandparents; his sister Laurie Burski; and his many great aunts and uncles. <br><br>D.J. will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years Corrie (nee McIvor); his children Miranda and Denie (Kaleigh); his parents John and Heather Burski; his father- and mother-in-law Glen and Val McIvor; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his aunts and uncles; and his nieces and nephews. <br><br>D.J. enjoyed a career as an electrician, which included owning a business. <br><br>He also loved to travel; his favourite vacations included cruises, trips to Vegas, and trips to Anaheim to visit Disneyland and Universal Studios. His time spent volunteering as a camping-trip chaperone and as a bingo-worker with the Balgonie Elks made him a valued member of the community. <br><br>A CELEBRATION OF D.J.’S LIFE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. <br><br>We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Regina Palliative Care Inc. 1802 McAra Street, Regina, SK S4N 6C4 or the Provincial Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre 20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 5C5. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
