<div itemprop="description">On Tuesday, April 14, 2015 Christina passed away peacefully while in the care of her loving husband, best friend, children and family. <br /><br />Christina and Vance met in 1997 and they married on August 31, 2002. They were soul mates for 17 years. <br /><br />She is survived by husband Vance; her pride and joy, children Dustin, Ty and Vance&rsquo;s daughter Tessa; parents Margaret Anderson and Nick (June) Smith. She is also survived by siblings Ken and Bill Smith; parents in law Theo (Ruth) Shordee; sister and brothers in law Chad (Christy) Shordee, Tanya (Garrett) Bechard; nieces and nephews Nichole, Khir-a, Dominique, Anthony, Christopher, Bryan, Emery, Cyenna, Laiken, Mia and Ava; along with her closest friends Tracey Dunnigan and Lisa Ries, among numerous others. <br /><br />Christina was predeceased by her sister Kathrine Smith; step-father Al Anderson; grandparents Albert (Alex) and Francis Hurley and William and Pauline Smith. <br /><br />Christina was born in Regina, SK where she resided for the majority of her life. She graduated from high school at Robert Usher Collegiate, then moved onto furthering her education, completing two bachelor degrees in Human Justice and Social Work at the University of Regina. <br /><br />She devoted her career to helping other families and students in need while raising two beautiful boys, along with her many contributions to community: entertaining at senior homes with her band the Grand Trunk Troubadours, organizing sporting events for local children&rsquo;s teams, and many other extra-curricular programs for the public school board. <br /><br /> Christina was truly committed to being a mom, wife, sister, and friend. She could be counted on to spread joy and happiness not only to those close, but to everyone in need through her career as a social worker and school counselor. <br /><br />She could effortlessly provide inspiration and guidance to people from many different walks of life, shaping a more beautiful world using her God given attributes that made her such a special and meaningful person. <br /><br />She spent her lazy days relaxing at the cabin in Glen Harbour where she could escape, and find peace and serenity surrounded by a community of people that loved and adored her for the fun and enjoyable essence that she shared with them. <br /><br />Her friends and colleagues will dearly miss her company, but her contributions that have made a positive impact on the world will remain a part of our communities and will be cherished in our hearts forever. <br /><br />A VISITATION for Christina will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Highway #1 East (on the right side heading east), Regina, SK on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.. <br /><br />A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 1021 McCarthy Boulevard North, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. <br /><br />In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Christina may be made to a trust fund care of any TD Canada Trust (cheques in care of Vance Shordee, account #6465407, Branch 7629). As per Christina&rsquo;s wishes, donations will be made to her local charities of choice. <br /><br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
