Bev’s heart-filled work here is done. She received a call - the sort of call you don’t refuse - to enter eternal peace on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the age of 63.

Carrying on her joy and love for life, Bev leaves behind her devoted husband Milt of 42 years; proud parents Ken and Jean Ballou; adoring children Lisa (Rob), Jill (Steve) and Scott (Ange); her sweetheart grandchildren George and Wren; and dear brother Doug Ballou (Jan). She also shared her heart with treasured nieces and nephews: Colton, Mitchell, Jodi and Brooks; and brother in-law Terry (Susan).

Bev, to all who knew her, was a beautiful and loving person who deeply touched the lives of many. Her magic was in connection, she made instant friends everywhere she went with her famous megawatt smile lighting the way. Her strength, optimism and hope has left us inspired.

She married her best friend and soulmate Milt Raddysh in 1975. Together they built a life filled with happy moments of traveling, nurturing their garden and welcoming old friends and new. They raised three children to be strong, bright and compassionate because of their focus for their kids to be their best selves.

Bev, a teacher and mentor at the Balfour Special Tutorial program, believed that every student deserves to have a champion in their corner and was capable of achieving their dreams.

Bev was made to be a grandma. She always used a pinch of “granny magic” in everyday moments to light up George and Wren’s sense of curiosity and wonder, whether it be a hotel room picnic, a nature walk or an afternoon story.

We are heartbroken that such a bright spark in this world has gone out; however, are deeply grateful to Dr. Heng, Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Stark and Dr. Abuhjar for their excellent care that was filled with heart.

A CELEBRATION OF THIS INCREDIBLY SPECIAL LADY’S LIFE will be held in the Ballroom of the Hotel Saskatchewan, 2125 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to her legacy at MacKenzie Infant Care Centre, 1308 College Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 1B2 or the Regina Floral Conservatory, 1450B 4th Avenue, Regina, SK S4R 8G8.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
