It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother Annegrete on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the age of 88 years.

Annegrete will join her husband Hermann; parents, Adolf and Helene; sister-in-law, Edeltrut; and brother-in-law, Johannes.

Annegrete will be greatly missed by her sons Harvey (Rhonda) of Regina and Michael (Barbara) of PV Mexico; grandsons Robyn (Tabrina) and Scott; and great grandsons Austin and Colton. She is also survived by her brother Hans (Helga) of Germany and their family; and sister-in-law Cacilie of Prince Albert and her family.

Annegrete was born in Schwarz Germany on March 23, 1928. In 1953 Annegrete left Germany with intentions of working her way around the world. She headed west to Canada on her journey, little did she know she would only make it as far as Regina. Here she took a job as a nanny and met her husband to be, Hermann. They married and settled in Regina to make a life for themselves and raise their family.

Throughout her life Annegrete was a kind hearted caregiver. This extended far beyond her family and into her career which included 18 years at the Regina General Hospital and 18 years with Extendicare. Through those years mother cared for many people and met many families who remembered her and the care she provided to their loved ones.

The family would like to thank all those individuals and friends that provided love, care and compassion during her health struggles in the last year. We greatly appreciate your kindness and will never forget what you did for mother and for the family during this time.

At mother's request a Private Family Funeral will take place.

Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make a donation in memory of Annegrete to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
