<div itemprop="description">Alvin Edgar Ross passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, January 27, 2017. <br><br>He was predeceased by his parents Basil and Mary; and his older sister Evelyn Miles. <br><br>Alvin is survived by his wife Kelly Ross with whom he just celebrated 66 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children: Cal (Bev) from Calgary and their children Tim (Katie), Tom, Cheri, and Danny (Lacey) and their families; Sheila (Bruce) Wickert from Phoenix, AZ and their children Roger, Gordie (Cindy), Russel (Bryanna), Heather (Michael) and their families; Glen from White City and his children Sarah, Rachelle (Jesse Michener), Amanda (Cory Vanderlaan) and their families; and Jan from Regina. Alvin is also survived by his brother Ron (Joyce) from Regina and their family; and his sister Zelma (Maurice Greiner) from Seattle and their family. Alvin was so proud of his 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. <br><br>Alvin was one of the youngest elevator operators in Canada during World War II. He was raised in the farming community of Keystown, SK, just west of Regina. He excelled at hockey, baseball, and horseshoes and had many trophies to prove it. <br><br>Alvin was a hard worker who built up a trucking firm, Prairie Transport Ltd. He was committed to the church and lived life to the fullest. <br><br>Alvin was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. He will be sorely missed but we find great comfort in knowing he is present with the Lord. <br><br>We would like to thank the medical staff on 3E of the Regina General Hospital for their care and support. <br><br>A MEMORIAL SERVICE and Reception will be held at Living Hope Alliance Church, 3900 Arcola Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Kirk Cowman officiating. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.</div>
