Albert Zacher
December 13, 1928 - March 31, 2016
It is said that the greatness of a man is not measured by the wealth he acquires, but by his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.
With deep sadness we announce the loss of a great man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Albert Zacher on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by his fur baby Benji; three daughters Terry (Mel) Sebastian, Joan (George) Bliss and Judith Zacher; son Marlow Zacher; seven grandchildren Derek, Shanna-Lee (Ross), James (Aleesha), Johnathon, Rebecca (Tyler), Morgan and Payton; nine great grandchildren Chanse, Taiya, Tianna, Kanin, Trinity, Jacey, Annika, Ryker and Daxton.
He is also survived by his sisters Lillian Kosher and Shirley Jacquin; sister-in-law Eva Mocan and brother-in-law Matt Heisler.
Al was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Rose; parents James and Lucille Zacher; brother Frank; sisters, Vicky (George) Pauliuk, Rose (Anthony) Wickenheiser, Jean (Henry) Kattler and Lorraine (Ray) Kosher; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Katherine “Kathy” Heisler, Agnes Gunderson, George and Gladys Ball, John and Agatha Ball, Theodore “Ted” Ball, Bernard “Ben” Ball, Jake Ball, Bud Kosher and Alec Mocan.
While he was known by all for that smile that lit up a room, nothing brought it to his face more than teasing and joking with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A PRAYER SERVICE will be held at Little Flower Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
