<div itemprop="description">Al passed away at Pasqua Hospital on Monday, November 17, 2014. <br /><br />Husband of 60 years to Glendene (Hannah); father and father-in-law to Paul and Joanne Gray, Linda and Nick Steinberg; grandfather to Elizabeth and Laura Gray and Matthew and Christopher Steinberg. He is also survived by his siblings Ron (Myrtle) Gray, Norm Gray, Carol Gray; sister-in-law Lois Hannah; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. <br /><br />After graduating from Central Collegiate in Regina, Al obtained a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He worked for Shell Oil at many locations throughout western Canada and the United States and spent over 20 years with Polysar in Sarnia, Ontario before returning to Regina to work for the provincial government and later Betz Chemicals. <br /><br />Al was actively involved in church, including being an elder, Sunday School superintendent, recruiter and participating in numerous special events. He and Glendene enjoyed Square Dancing and often arranged for elaborate themed evenings for their club. <br /><br />Al loved gardening both around his home and assisting at the church and the Floral Conservatory in Regina. Al&rsquo;s playfulness and interest in others will be missed. <br /><br />A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Sunset United Church, 177 Sunset Drive, Regina, SK S4S 6Y7 on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. <br /><br />Donations in memory of Al may be made to the Parkinson Society Saskatchewan, Regina Chapter, P.O. Box 21010 Gardiner Park RPO Regina, SK S4V 1J4 or Sunset United Church. <br /><br />Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.</div>
